Physical Dependence- People who have developed a tolerance to the drug and if they try to quit they will get withdrawal symptoms.

Psychological Dependence- People who, knowing the consequences of using the drug, cannot stop using it.

- Feelings of anxiety when trying to stop
- Loss of appetite
- Denial about their problems
- Feelings of restlessness
- A mental obsession with drug
- Depression when trying to stop
- Mood swings
